Ayungon CeC – A catalyst for change |
|

|
By Jose Renon C. Arrojado, RITC-7 A lot has changed since November 6, 2006 for this Community e-Center (CeC). The Community e-Center of Ayungon, Negros Oriental started with only five (5) computers and one simple aspiration – to provide internet connection to the town’s constituents. Two years after, it has grown to seven (7) computers and into an Internet Service Provider (ISP) not just for the town’s constituents but also to the nearby towns. With a speed of 1mbps and a maximum radius of 40 kilometers, it is by far the most advanced CeC nationwide. It uses CISCO 1800 series router to serve the internet needs of the town and its nearby LGUs. Currently, it provides services to households and schools. |
